Lock and Key

by Sarah Dessen
Call # : F Des                                                                        Genre:Realistic Fiction
“It's a lot easier to be lost than found. It's the reason we're always searching and rarely discovered--so many locks not enough keys.”
Ruby lives by herself but not by choice, by chance. She is struggling to pay the bills for the house after her mother abandoned her. When her sister, Jamie who has left her just like her mother, comes along and gives her a chance to live with her, she takes it, but not willingly. Jamie has done well for herself, she has a husband that is the creator of a popular networking site and he has everything, big house, cars, anything you could think of. But Ruby does not want everything. She just wants to be by herself. She’s survived that way for a long time. She locked up her heart and doesn’t want anyone to open it. It doesn’t help when you're trying to be alone at Jamie’s, with a boy next door that won’t stay away.
